I’m a visual storyteller specialising in photography, film, and reels. I create honest, emotive visuals by shaping authentic stories. Through a mix of documentary-style photography, cinematic film, and engaging reels, I help people and businesses identify and amplify their unique strengths, beauty, and essence in a way that feels natural and true to them.

I work with artists, brands, and individuals who have something to share but may not know how to express it visually.

Def0cused started as my VJ name over a decade ago—a nod to seeing the world differently, beyond the obvious. Today, it’s my creative space for capturing raw, unscripted moments through photography, videography, and Reels.

I believe storytelling is more than just visuals; it’s about emotion, connection, and impact. My passion lies in helping people and brands see themselves in a new light—building confidence, uncovering hidden talents, and transforming ideas into compelling narratives.

Through research, thoughtful scriptwriting, and a personalised 1:1 approach, I take the stress out of the creative process. Whether you’re an artist, a small business, or an individual with a story to tell, I help you share it in a way that feels authentic, impactful, and visually compelling.

I specialise in documentary-style storytelling, capturing moments that will never happen again. My goal is to create work that not only looks good but feels real—whether it’s preserving once-in-a-lifetime memories or crafting powerful brand visuals that leave a lasting impression.

Working with Kate was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Photoshoots always make me incredibly nervous as I don't really enjoy having my photo taken, but she created such a relaxed and supportive environment that I felt completely at ease. Before the shoot, she took the time to go through my mood board, understand the look and feel I was aiming for, and offer thoughtful advice on everything from styling to setting. That extra care and attention made such a difference on the day.

During the session, Kate struck the perfect balance between giving direction and letting things unfold naturally. She offered great suggestions for poses and compositions, which made me feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. The whole process was well-paced, flexible, and fun, and her time management was spot on—no rushing.

Not only was the turnaround incredibly fast, but the final images were even better than I had hoped. I ended up with so many brilliant shots (if I say so myself!) and it was clear Kate had gone above and beyond to deliver something special. She truly knows how to capture people at their best. If you're looking for a photographer who is professional, creative, and genuinely invested in making you feel good in front of the lens, I can’t recommend her highly enough!
